Situations Vacant - We Are Hiring!

We are still on the hunt for Automotive Technicians.

Our unique workshop specializes in the construction, maintenance and preparation of motorsport vehicles, along with performance modifications, dyno tuning, fabrication, machining and engine building.  We work on history and horsepower, not old heaps and grocery getters. No other workshop covers the range of vehicles that ours does, one day you could be working on a historic single seater race car, the next you could be working on a modern GT3 racing machine, or building a high horsepower street rocketship!

Hitech Motorsport have been helping people go fast for nearly 50 years! We have some exciting projects, and are experiencing an increased demand for our knowledge, expertise and services.

We are currently looking for more good people to join our team. We have exciting opportunities for experienced technicians/mechanics and also an experienced fabricator, to join our growing team based  in South Auckland.

The mechanic position will require someone with an extensive range of skills and knowledge, more than just an average mechanic, who has just changed parts in a general workshop. The ideal person will have an eye for detail, be able to work to a high standard and produce quality work. Experience in some or all of the following would be ideal - Auto electrical skills, excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills, engine and transmission rebuilding experience, engine management installation and tuning knowledge, experience with data logging, race car set up and alignment.

The fabricator position will require someone with the abilty to weld steel, stainless and aluminium to a high standard. Experience in automotive fabrication, such as exhaust systems, intercooler piping, engine conversions, etc would be beneficial. The abilty to use a lathe and mill would be an advantage.

The right candiates have to have a decent understanding of performance car modifications and ideally race or rally experience and have worked in a Motorsport environment.

The positions are full-time Monday to Friday and may also require you to be part of our event support team, attending motorsport events across New Zealand. For the right candidates we offer excellent wages and competitive remuneration. These positions could also be filled by suitable individuals on a contract basis. This is  fantastic and rare opportunity to be involved with a successful professional team.
